Dear Alumni,
It is with our greatest pleasure to announce to you the 2005 Chiao-Tung University
North America Alumni Association (CTUAAA) 2005 Reunion in Chicago. The Midwest Chapter
and our Executive Planning committee cordially and proudly invite you and your family
to attend this fun-filled and knowledge-sharing event with us on June 24-25, the best
time of the year in Chicago. This once in every five-year major event began in New York,
1965 and the tradition continues to flourish ever since. This is a wonderful
opportunity to reunite and reminisce "the good old days" with classmates and old
friends. Please mark down your calendar and plan to come.
The theme for the 2005 Reunion is "Challenges and Opportunities in Globalization".
The program will start on Friday evening with a hospitality reception at the Wyndham
Northwest Chicago Hotel to welcome you to the Windy City. Saturday is a knowledge-sharing
day, starting with the keynote speech by a well-known politician, followed by the
campus update of current status and future visionary development from each campus
principal. There will be breakout sessions, seminars, panel discussion in the
afternoon, all centered on our reunion theme that is very dear to our heart and life
now. A formal dinner banquet will be served in the evening. We will serenade you with
"Chicago, My Kind of Town"!
On Sunday, you will have the leisure to tour Chicago, including the boat ride on Lake
Michigan, the magnificent Chicago architecture and golden Mile on Michigan avenue, the
lunch at the world-known Gino Pizza, the treasured museums (Natural History, Science,
Industry, Art, and Planetarium), and the beautiful lakefront and parks.We look forward
to seeing you at the 2005 Reunion! The online web registration will start in March and
